WHAT IS ANTI-AGING ACUPUNCTURE?

This technique takes hair-thin needles and inserts them on various acupuncture points throughout the face and body.  Two things are accomplished by this process.  

Firstly, we insert the needles on various acupuncture points throughout the face,  and body because each point is responsible for moving blood and energy also known as “Qi”.

Secondly, facial needles are shallowly inserted into the Dermis Layer of the skin.  The dermis layer is made up of collagen, elastin, and fibrillin, which gives the skin its flexibility and strength. Inserting needles into this particular layer of skin creates“micro-traumas”,  which causes the skin to repair itself, which builds more collagen and elastin. The effect is firmer, smoother skin.  

I begin my rejuvenation treatments with an assessment of your current skin condition and what you are interested in achieving. Needles are applied to the face and body.   Additionally organic nourishing oils and cream are applied to the face and neck followed by a facial massage. Each treatment is based on a constitutional assessment of each individual resulting in slightly different treatments for each person.
